Baltic Photonics 2026: Discover New Opportunities at the Intersection of Photonics and Semiconductors

On September 24–25, Vilnius will host Baltic Photonics 2026, an international event bringing together companies, technology experts, researchers and industry representatives working across photonics, laser technologies, space, defence and semiconductors.

This year’s theme, “Advanced Photonics – from Space & Defence to Semicon”, highlights the growing importance of photonics in strategically important technology sectors and the opportunities emerging at the intersection of photonics and semiconductor technologies.

Why should companies attend?

For technology-driven companies, Baltic Photonics 2026 offers an opportunity to explore new technologies, meet potential partners and identify opportunities for business and technology development.

Participants will be able to:

  • discover the latest developments and trends in photonics and semiconductor technologies;
  • learn about emerging applications in the space, defence and semiconductor sectors;
  • meet potential technology and business partners from Lithuania and abroad;
  • explore opportunities for joint innovation and R&D projects;
  • identify new technology transfer and international cooperation opportunities;
  • expand their professional network across the advanced technology ecosystem.

Dr Gediminas Račiukaitis, Head of the Laser Technologies Department at FTMC and a representative of ChipsC²-LT, will speak at the event.

His participation will highlight the growing links between photonics and semiconductor technologies and the opportunities these connections create for the development and adoption of advanced technologies.

From laser-based manufacturing and advanced processing technologies to photonic chips and high-performance sensing systems, photonics is becoming increasingly important across the semiconductor value chain.

Two days, different opportunities

September 24 will be the main conference day, featuring international experts, researchers and industry leaders discussing technological developments, market trends and emerging opportunities in advanced photonics, space, defence and semiconductor technologies.

September 25 will focus on business connections and practical cooperation. The programme will include B2B meetings, company visits and networking activities, providing an opportunity to meet potential partners and discuss specific cooperation opportunities.
